Hello

I was born and raised in southern Idaho, spent middle and high school in Sacramento, CA, and have lived most of my adult life in the Atlanta, GA area. As a child, I loved art, but it was not thought of as a career path in my family, just a hobby, and one that was not very practical. I attended college at Georgia State University, earned my degree in psychology, and worked with Emory University and Grady doing AIDS research. I quickly realized that working in psychology research wasn't for me! I wanted to bring people joy, not just research them. For many of my professional years, I worked in high-end restaurants honing my creative skills with mixology and food.  Meanwhile, I married, had two amazing boys, and started my journey as an artist. While mostly a self-taught artist, I have taken classes from many incredible instructors. I enjoy working in varied mediums including oils, acrylics, and watercolors. I love to explore and solve problems! My favorite medium is watercolor. However,  I have no problem mixing my mediums! I am a bit of a rebel, after all! My main inspiration is nature, the beauty of North Georgia and my travels, the emotions of my journey, rock and roll, and the stories I need to tell.
